The Infrant ReadyNAS 1100 1U NAS Server allows for a back to back dual ReadyNAS 1100 installation in a 1U rack. ReadyNAS 1100 standard features include RSync, dual gigabit + bundled EMC Retrospect backup software. Utilising the ReadyNAS 1U 1100 in back to back configuration gives a native capacity of 6TB simply by installing two ReadyNAS 3TB 1100's in any standard 19" server rack. Unlike other complicated or proprietary storage solutions, the Infrant ReadyNAS 1100 is a new class of NAS designed to meet the requirements of increasingly energy efficient computing environments. By carefully tailoring a Linux-based OS with a custom Infrant microprocessor, the 1100 removes traditional complexity, efficiency, and interoperability barriers. The ReadyNAS 1100 packs 2 gigabit interfaces, hardware RAID and 4 Hot Swap SATA disks all in a remarkable 12 inch deep 1U chassis! Drives quoted are our recommended Seagate Barracuda 16MB 7200 RPM NS (not the cheaper AS) (5 year factory backed warranty). Since Netgear acquired Infrant Technologies we can no longer supply diskless 1100's. We pay refund all postage (not packaging) costs on any ReadyNAS we sell that develops a warranty fault within 90 days.
